ARTS ORGANIZATIONS
Improv Night with the Matchbox Players
Gospel Choir: "Ultimate Praise", students from a variety of different backgrounds coming together to perform at Behrend, churches, and universities.
Matchbox Players: Develops a general appreciation of the theatre and provides experience in various phases of theatrical production. The troupe usually presents three or four productions each year. Auditions are held throughout the academic year.
Music Society: Enriches the Penn State Behrend community by providing quality musical activities. The Penn State Behrend Choir, a part of the Music Society, was selected recently to join other college choirs from across the nation to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Members of the Music Society also belong to Penn State Behrend's Pep Band and perform at basketball games.
Roundtable Society : Offers literary programming and student support. The Roundtable holds a student and faculty picnic, Cold Turkey, Dubious Taste, and gives support to any student organization that holds a literary event. Cold Turkey is a casual poetry reading around Thanksgiving that features a small turkey dinner. Dubious Taste is a chance for students and professors to poke fun at the literature they are required to read and teach.
Screen Visions Film Club: SVF will organize various film events dealing with fringe, independent and classic films that are not part of the contemporary commercial studio system.
