Strengthens Ecological
Sustainability on Campus
Only a year ago a campus group was established to develop strategies and programs to further ecological sustainability within the Penn State Behrend community. In a recent status report, the Greener Behrend Task Force detailed forty-four impressive accomplishments.
The initiatives range from reducing paper waste in computer labs to beginning a water ecology education program with Pennsylvania Sea Grant. The college is especially excited about efforts to develop a permanent campus ecological preserve and to have the campus recognized as an accredited arboretum.
