Current News & Events

  • Due to the ongoing Hammermill renovation project, a temporary "open" lab and staffed Help Desk have been established in Hammermill 143. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Fridays until 6:00 PM. - posted 08/25/08
  • The Computer Center in the Hammermill Building is undergoing a major renovation.  Changes include a new student cyber lounge, seminar/teaching lab, help desk, and staff offices.  See the floor plan for more details.

    The Computer Center staff offices are temporarily relocated to the Annexes behind the Science building. Once office renovations are complete, staff will move back to the new suite of offices in Hammermill.

  • The Hammermill Building will undergo first floor renovations during summer 2008.   As a result of this, the H-135 Help Desk and all adjacent Hammermill labs will close for the summer at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 9th.

    Starting on Monday, May 12th, the REDC 162 Help Desk will be staffed and will observe at least these hours of operation:  Mondays through Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Fridays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

    The following computer labs will be available this summer: Nick 156, REDC 153, REDC 175 and REDC 176.  Each will continue to provide 24/7 access.   Nick 155 and Witkowski 109 will observe weekday, daytime hours.   Due to the heavy volume of summer classes, outreach activities, and seminars, please check the availability of a lab prior to entering.  

    Lab reservation schedules will be posted outside each room, or are available on the web at:
    http://psbeh8b.psu-erie.bd.psu.edu/laboccupancy/.  Click on the Lab Schedules link, bottom left of the page.

    Computer Center staff will relocate for the duration of the construction. They can be reached by phone at their normal office numbers.
