Greetings from your Alma Mater!
Many new and exciting things are happening on campus and with
our alumni. Classes are now being held in the newly constructed
Research and Economic Development Center (REDC) now the largest
building on the campus. The REDC houses the School of Engineering and
Engineering Technology and the Sam & Irene Black School of Business.
Also, since its completion, three freshmen
classes have lived in Senat Hall which provides state-of-the-art
residence space in the center of campus and a mentoring program for
first-year students.
My name is Rebecca Grimaldi ('87) and I am glad to serve as the Director of
Alumni Relations.
The alumni listserv
has grown to over 7,500 alumni subscribers. The annual alumni
reunion continues to bring back alumni who haven't seen the campus
since graduation. The alumni board has continued to add much
needed value to the alumni outreach efforts. The society hosts
events throughout the year for alumni and their families to connect
with each other.
To help you better
understand how I can help you, I've listed my responsibilities to the
alumni below.
My responsibilities
include the following:
- Lead the Office of Alumni
Relations, located in the Logan House (at right)

- Build and cultivate relationships with
Behrend's over 22,500 alumni
- Make regional visits to meet with alumni
- Involve alumni in the life of the college
- Support and advise the Behrend Alumni Society
Board
- Advise the Lion Ambassadors
- Develop the Senior Class Gift projects
- Share alumni news and information via our
Web site, listserv and the Behrend Magazine
- Manage the Alumni Relations website
You can reach me via phone or e-mail. If you
feel that there is a strong interest in visiting your home area, let
me know. I'd be happy to consider a trip to share a Behrend update.
I can be contacted by phone at 814-898-6367, by email at rcg12@psu.edu, or by AIM at
