Meet Our Ministers!

Our Student Leaders for this semester:

Erik HuetErik Huet

Greetings I am Erik Huet and I am currently a sophomore majoring in
Political Science and looking into a minor in International Relations. My
interests lie with politics, spending time with those I care about,
attempting to draw from time to time, as well as going to see the performing
arts when able. I think the most important thing about me is my strong faith
in God and continued desire to know and understand him better. I am a firm
believer that he places people and opportunities in our lives to help guide
and lead use in the right direction. We just need to be willing to notice
those people and opportunities.

Stephen Jewell

Hi everyone and welcome to PCM.  I am Steven Jewell and this will be my third at Penn State Erie.  This year in addition to my studies I will be helping around the chapel as a peer Minister, in the area of service not just to God but also to others.   A few hobbies of mine include Boy Scouts and Riding Roller Coasters.  I look forward to getting to know all you, your hobbies and gifts.   I will see you on Campus and God Bless!

Allison MainoAllison Maino

Hi! My name is Allison Maino and I’m in my third year with a major in English Literature. My interests include Tae Kwon Do, sports, video games, and singing. I became involved in Protestant Campus Ministry within the first week of my freshman year because my faith is important to me and it was a great way to meet people with similar interests on campus. A short time later I became a part of the PCM worship team as a vocalist. I recommend joining PCM to anyone on campus because we’re a welcoming group who keeps an open mind to anyone out there. After a while, it feels like you’re part of a family. I look forward to getting to know new faces and welcome back the upperclassmen for a great year of faith, volunteering, and fun!

Ericka WatkinsEricka Watkins

Hi my name is Ericka Watkins.  I am from Pittsburgh, PA.  My major is Accounting and my love for God is unconditional.  Over the years, I’ve learned that you’re going to have many trials and tribulations.  In the moment of those times, you may feel depressed and like your life is coming to an end.  Especially when there’s nothing you can do about the situation because its out of your hands.  Sometimes you just have to let it go and leave it in God’s hands.  He’s the only one who will always be by your side during any situation you’re going through in your life, and He always looks out for your best interest.  When my godsister passed away, I used to cry myself to sleep many of times wondering why He had to take her away from me, her family, and friends because she didn’t even get a chance to experience what life is all about.  What I realized is that I was being greedy and only looking out for my own good.  She was very sick and God came in and took her pain away so now she’s no longer in pain even though she can’t be with us today.  Ever since that happened, my faith in God grew even stronger.  I believe that God brings difficult situations in our life to make us stronger, and to bring families and friends closer together.

Burt WardBart Ward

Is a sophomore. He runs the the audio/video for CampusWorship and is our "Food Guy" for fellowship after Sunday. He'll write more about himself soon!

Our Director... Rev. Rebecca Aist McFee.

Hi everyone! I suppose I should give you my professional info: I'm an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church of the Wisconsin Annual Conference. I attended Duke Divinity School and have lived and served the church in North Carolina, Sunderland, UK, Wisconsin, and now Erie. I taught at Mercyhurst College in the departmant of religion for 3 years before coming to Behrend.

More personally, I met my husband, Daniel McFee while at Duke and since then have enjoyed many nights watching Duke Basketball! We now enjoy introducing our two sons to the same entertainment. I write music occasionally, play the piano just for fun, travel as much as a can, read a lot and enjoy lots of great friendship here and around the world.

This will be my third year at Behrend. I love campus ministry at Behrend. We have committed students, supportive area churches and college administration, and a new chapel for worship and gathering. We continue to offer relationships and programs to deepen our students' spiritual lives and broaden their mission in the world.

I would want you to know that my office door is always open. I don't think that everyone thinks alike or believes alike, but I know that we are all deeply loved and valued by God. If you ever want to stop by to just introduce yourself, or you need something more, just come by. I try to make it a habit to also be found at Bruno's at lunchtime.
