Preparation

  1. Start planning early. Many application deadlines are nine months prior to participation.

  2. Make an appointment with the study abroad advisor, Ruth Pflueger, e-mail address: rcp1@psu.edu, ext. 6418.

  3. Decide on the program or programs that interest you.  Charts are available in the Learning Resource Center that list the programs, language requirements, housing accommodations, costs, etc. (You don't need to speak a foreign language. Many programs are taught in English, or you will be learning the language of the country while you are abroad.)

  4. Meet with your academic advisor.

  5. Prepare your application.
