The Creative Writer's Speaker Series is sponsored by the Clarence and Eugenie Baumann Smith Fund.
Students enrolled in any creative writing course are required to attend the readings presented that semester in the series. Professors teaching creative writing classes are expected to include this requirement as part of each student's grade for the class.
Professors teaching literature classes are encouraged to urge their students to attend, or even to make attendance at a certain number of the readings, or particular readings, a requirement.
