Lecturer in U.S. History

The History program at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invites applications for a one-year position as a lecturer in U.S. history for the 2008-09 academic year. The teaching load is four courses a semester (typically two preparations). The successful candidate will be expected to teach a two-semester American history sequence, as well as a general education course entitled The World at War, 1939 to 1945. Preferred qualifications:  Ph.D. in history; teaching experience.

Lecturer in Psychology

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, invites applications for a one-year, lecturer position (with the possibility of renewal) in general psychology, beginning August, 2008. The teaching load is four courses a semester (two or three preparations). Courses may include introductory, personality, cross-cultural, gender, educational, political psychology, or possibly a course in the candidate’s area of expertise. Faculty are encouraged to participate in scholarly activity involving undergraduate students. Qualifications: Master’s degree required (Ph.D. preferred), plus college or university teaching experience.
