Plastics Engineering Technology Program Mission
Our mission is to provide students with an excellent well-rounded undergraduate plastics engineering education. We intend to provide them the education and training to be impact players if entering industry, and the solid foundation required to be successful if entering graduate school.
We endeavor to instill a level of professionalism and ethical behavior that meets accepted professional practices.
We will involve students in applied research and/or industry outreach which expands their educational experience to include the practical application of theoretical principles, the exercise of independent thinking and the contribution to the solution of real world problems. Additionally we will encourage active participation in activities and events that foster student interaction with industry professionals and professional societies.
We will also strive to continually improve and update the Plastics Engineering Technology program to assure that the student's education is current relative to a continually evolving industry and world economy.
Finally, we will strive to improve the academic environment and actively serve in the best interests of the University.
