Computer Technologies

Graduates of the plastics program are provided exceptional training in the use of computer technologies.

Student training and experience includes CAD, solids modeling, finite element structural analysis, finite element process simulation, as well as computerized material databases and other applications.

The computer labs at Penn State Behrend feature some of the most advanced engineering workstation labs in the country. The software used by students is valued at more than $20 million. The computers and software provide both accelerated learning tools and specialized skills for which many of our graduates are recruited.
